Black is associated with both the elements of spirit and the earth, and is connected to Saturn. As all colours absorbed turn into black, it is an ideal colour for soaking up negativity, with protective properties.
In the West, black is a funeral colour and associated with grief and endings. It is the colour of the planet Saturn which is a planet of endings, and this link has been evidenced from early South American cultures through to modern times. Saturn also governs discipline, order and structure which lends these qualities to the crystal, onyx, and it's 'grounding' properties.
In crystal healing, black is used for divination and to treat depression. It is also used for binding in spells and rituals and it has been said that black crystals can trap spirits within them. This further accentuates the protective properties of the colour black.

Our eyes are more receptive to the colour blue than any other colour. Blue is prominent in our surroundings, in the sky, in the sea, and with so much blue in our lives it is also easy to see why this colour is associated with a sense of space which expands our consciousness.
Since the time of ancient
, the colour blue has been associated with healing and calming the mind. The Egyptian priests would powder the crystal, lapis lazuli, for use in ceremonies. Egypt
Lapis lazuli has long been used for healing in relation to the respiratory and nervous systems. It also promotes quietening of the mind, and is an excellent crystal to assist with self expression, writing, creativity and dream insight.

The Aquamarine is also the modern birthstone for the month of March, with the meaning of courage; the Sapphire for September, with the meaning of clear thinking; the Opal for October, with the meaning of hope; and the Turquoise for December, with the meaning of prosperity.
Governed by Venus, the planet of love, pink is the colour of love and femininity. Pink is a very gentle, subtle colour and over time has come to represent the qualities of fidelity, friendship, unconditional love and romance. Pink crystals assist in relaxation, heightening powers of concentration and promoting positive feelings.
Primarily pink crystals are important in crystal healing because they bring balance to the Heart Chakra, which in turn is the centre of balance. The Heart Chakra also responds to green crystals, which represent love in the way of jealousy, so pink crystals are used to dispel jealous (green) feelings.
Carrying a pink crystal such as a rose quartz or rhodocrosite can assist in dealing with the trauma of a relationship breakup. They will also assist the heart to heal by attracting the energies of beauty and serenity into your life. Pink crystals can also assist in staying focused and keeping auric energies balanced.

Purple is the colour of spiritual development and love, and purple shades connect to the traits of truth and compassion. The Amethyst crystal is also used to represent sincerity in crystal therapy.
The colour purple inherits spiritual, psychic and emotional properties from it's governing planets, the Moon and Uranus, which personify heaven in mythology. These crystals are therefore excellent for developing your intuitive and psychic abilities.
In ancient mythology purple is also associated with authority and royalty. It has been used to represent high rank and noble blood dating back to the Roman emperors and the Roman Catholic Church.

The amber crystal is a natural resin from an extinct form of pine that was submerged under the sea in the Neolithic Age. Some of the beliefs regarding how amber was formed include that it was fossilised tears of Indian birds, and congealed rays of the setting Sun, found on the seashore. In

As yellow crystals share their colour with the Sun, they are used in crystal healing for those suffering from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Yellow jasper is a crystal that is particularly good for warding off depression.

When a light is shone through a prism, it diffuses into the whole spectrum of the rainbow as it contains all the colours within. Therefore, white is also the colour of completion.
White crystals are known for their calming, healing and protective powers. They are linked to healing connected with the bones and teeth due to their colour, and are used for their cooling effect, both of the body and the emotions.

Our bodies contain seven energy centres, known as Chakras, that govern energy flow through our physical and spiritual bodies. These Chakras run in a horizontal line through our bodies, from the top of our heads to the base of our spines.

One of the many wonders of nature is embodied in the beauty and magic of crystals. Almost every culture and religion throughout history has used crystals decoratively, symbolically or practically. They are commonly used in jewellery and placed around the home for protection, luck and healing.
In their creation, crystals rely upon the right ingredients and conditions such as; heat generated by fire such as volcanoes or deep thermal currents; pressure from the earth; chemical reactions used to absorb hydrogen and oxygen from the air and water. The effects of the four elements of air, earth, water and earth can be seen in all the formation processes of crystals and the life force that energises all living things and bonds the other four elements together.
The effect of ether is in the growth and development of all living things. This is clearly visible in trees and animals, but not so immediately apparent in crystals.

Do you know the quote: 'I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them FEEL?'
This quote seems to have an unknown author, although it has been suggested that it could possibly have been Carl Buechner, or Steven Krushen. This in itself gives credibility to the quote, as it states: '...people will forget what YOU said...'.
It also gives credibility to the Law of Attraction, because the Law of Attraction will give you what you think, say and do (whether good or bad). The author first thought of this quote, stated this quote, and so brought this quote into his life.
If you have read my previous two articles: 'Desire Road and Success Valley', and 'Do You Know Gunna Too?', you may recognise that they were written with the aim of explaining important components associated with the Law of Attraction, with having a Desire, and putting that desire into Action.
Napoleon Hill's famous book: 'Think and Grow Rich' and the more modern teachings of the Law of Attraction, including the teachings of Abraham (Ester Hicks) and The Secret (Rhonda Byrne), all mention the importance also of 'Appreciating What We Have and Being Happy'!
It seems logical to say; 'Oh, but I WILL be happy when I have what I want', and once we understand the law a little better we will even try to compensate by pretending to ourselves that we are appreciative of what we have, even while we grumble. But eventually we realise that we can always find things in our life we are appreciative for, and focus on them.
This is where the quote above comes back into the picture. As humans, we place a great deal of importance on our feelings. We recognise when we are feeling happy. We recognise when we are feeling sad. We remember how we felt when something wonderful happened in our lives. We remember how we felt during the sad times.
We may not remember all the words we read. We may not remember who wrote them. But we will always remember how they made us FEEL! So, focus on those things that make you feel good, and less on those that don't, and you may be surprised to find that the Law of Attraction will bring you more of the same.

Gunna was an interesting fellow
he always had a story to tell;
When others were at a loss for words
Gunna's words kept you under a spell;
He had the most grandiose dreams
to obtain wealth and fame;
Others may have tried and failed
but he would succeed all the same;
He would be thinking and planning
from day break to sun set;
And then he would elaborately explain
how it was all a sure bet;
His ideas were flawless
and his enthusiasm sound;
But with all the best at heart
here is what I found;
Gunna spent so much time
talking about what he was going to do,
That he forgot something important
in making his dreams come true;

Have you ever wondered how it seems that some people effortlessly obtain the things they desire in life, and yet many others perpetually struggle to achieve success?
Is this one of the questions in life that seems to constantly take you down the wrong road, or to a dead end? You may be driving along the same road as everyone else, desiring only to reach the same destination, but are you giving your desire the correct fuel?
In general terms, for example; you may have the desire to create a healthier bank balance. However, are you so focussed on waving goodbye to
Debt Street, that the joy of reaching becomes, secondary? Success Valley
As Napoleon Hill states in his famous book; 'Think and Grow Rich' - 'What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve' and, 'There is one quality that one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it.'
One of the principles of the Law of Attraction is; 'You will get what you think about, whether you want it or not'. Bob Doyle, author and Law of Attraction specialist explains in 'The Secret' book; 'The Law of Attraction doesn't care whether you perceive something as good or bad, or whether you don't want it or whether you do want it. It's responding to your thoughts.'
So, in the above example, even though your desire may be to attract more financial abundance, if you are constantly thinking about all the bills piling up, and how hard it is to get what you desire, you will get exactly that - more of the same.
If your desire is to find a fulfilling relationship, you may make an outward show that you are available, but have you already quashed all opportunities by that nagging voice inside your head telling you that it will probably end like last time? Guess what? The law of attraction responds accordingly.
If your desire is to lose that weight to feel and be healthier; You may go along to the gym and start to eat healthier, but you focus on all the fit and healthy people and think, 'I'll never end up looking like them.' And again, the law of attraction hears you.
When we realise the true power of our thoughts, and how they affect our desires, we are in a far better position to be able to alter our way of thinking to actually allow our desires to come to fruition.
Our past thoughts have created our present and our present thoughts will be instrumental to our future. Whatever it is you desire in life, it is important to remember that your future and the outcome of your desires, is entirely up to you!
